*Talk about being humble. Although Kendrick Lamar current world tour is one of the biggest selling in rap history, the Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist had no problem showing the world that he is the proud owner of some bootleg Jordans.
Last weekend, the sneaker world was in a tizzy after Kdot showed off his latest purchase on Instagram: a pair of counterfeit Air Jordan 12 “Flu Games.” There was no Jumpman logo on the tongue. Instead, it was some random silhouetted figure dribbling a basketball.
Lamar posed proudly with the fakes, then proceeded to walk the streets of New York City in them.
It quickly became apparent that Lamar, who can clearly afford real Jordan’s, was simply trolling the hardcore sneakerheads who wouldn’t think of even joking about Air Jordan knockoffs, much less purchase and sport them proudly.
Meanwhile, Lamar’s current “The Big Steppers Tour” is support of his fifth studio album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers,” released in 2022. It began on June 23, 2022, in Milan, and is currently scheduled to wrap on October 13 of this year in Austin.
